This guide walks you through everything you’ll need to gather, set up, and share so I can research, prepare, and deliver your project successfully.
Step 1 – Don’t Stress
If you can’t find your logins, get stuck halfway through, or aren’t sure what to do next, don’t stress.
Having access to all these account helps me provide the best advice and avoid any roadblocks during your project.
If you can’t locate login details or share details, I’ll help you directly or try to extract what I need from publicly available sources, backups, or your hosting account.

Step 2 – Website Domain & Hosting Access
Domain Name Registrar Access
This is needed to configure things like DNS, SSL, and Email.
If you don’t yet have a domain, skip this.
If you do, share access to your domain registrar
See what to do:
- Identify Your Domain Registrar/DNS Provider
- Use the Domain Whois Lookup tool to confirm your registrar if you’re unsure.
- Log In & Navigate to Domain Settings: Look for sections like “My Domains,” “Domains,” or “Domain Manager”.
- Select Your Domain: Click on the specific domain name
- Find where to delegate access: Look for am option that says Delegate, Invite or Share Access.

Website Access
If you have an existing website, please create a new admin account or share admin access – Invite support@brighterwebsites.com.au
Permission level: Grant Administrator access.

WordPress
- Log in as an administrator
- Users > Add User
- Enter Username (required)
- Email (required)

Important Note: If email sending from your website is not set up – please copy the password and username and email directly to support@brighterwebsites.com.au. (Email may not be set up if you have never received password reset emails, form notification or plugin update emails from your website)
Common website platforms and how to invite/create admin access:
- Wix | Inviting People to Collaborate on Your Site
- Squarespace | Inviting a contributor
- Shopify | Inviting users
Hosting Access
(Ideal to share but not critical) Please invite or share access to your hosting account.
This might be known to you as cPanel and can often be shared at the account level in same way as delegating access to your domain name
Permission level: Grant Administrator or Developer access.

- Locate your hosting provider (SiteGround, VentraIP, Hostinger, etc.).
- Confirm your hosting login credentials.
- Invite

Step 3 – Google Services
Google Search Console (GSC)
Google Search Console (GSC): Monitors your site’s health and search visibility to show how Google views your pages, guiding technical SEO and keyword strategy.

- Go to Google Search Console and sign in.
- Select your website property from the dropdown menu in the top-left corner.
- Scroll down the left-hand sidebar and click Settings.
- Click on Users and permissions.
- Click the blue Add user button in the top-right corner.
- Enter
support@brighterwebsites.com.au - Under Permission, select Owner / Delegated Owner (this allows management of verification tokens and advanced configuration).

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

- Go to Google Analytics and sign in.
- In the bottom-left corner, click the Admin gear icon.
- In the Property column (or Account column if you want them to access all properties under your account), click Property Access Management.
- Click the blue + icon in the top-right corner and select Add users.
- Invite

- Under Direct roles and data restrictions, select Administrator
- Click Add in the top-right corner.
Google Business Profile (GBP)
Your Google Business Profile (GBP) is one of the most important assets for local visibility and map results.
It connects your brand to Google Search, Google Maps, and AI-driven search features.

- Google Search your “exact business name”
- Scroll down to find a sections that says “You manage this profile”
- Click View Profile
- Click the three vertical dots > Business Profile settings > People and access > Add
- Invite

If you need to set this up first
- Visit Google Business Profile Manager.
- Register your business under your Google account (use a Gmail address you control).
- Verify ownership by video.
- Complete your profile with:
- Business Name, Address, Phone
- Opening hours
- Business categories
- (if its a brand new listing – wait to add Logo and photos)

Step 4 – Other Accounts and Steps
Most businesses can stop here if this is a new site or early stage project – feel free to set up and share any of the following accounts if they are relevant to your business and our project.
Other Marketing Integrations
Setting these up early ensures your website automatically syncs leads, payments, and analytics as soon as we launch:
- Email Marketing & Automations: Brevo, MailerLite, or Mailchimp (for lead nurturing, newsletters, and automated emails)
- E-Commerce Sync: Google Merchant Center (essential for shopping feeds and product-based stores)
- Scheduling & Payments: Calendly and Stripe (for direct bookings and online payments)
How to grant access: If you use any of these platforms—or plan to include automations in your setup—please invite support@brighterwebsites.com.au as an Admin or Developer (if your account permissions allow).
Meta (Facebook & Instagram) Business Setup
(optional) Meta Business Suite Setup: Linking your Facebook and Instagram accounts inside Meta Business Suite unlocks social posting tools, profile optimizations, and channel verification. Setting this up at the business asset level protects your individual account access and ensures a safe, hassle-free integration.
Create Your Facebook Page & Instagram Professional Account
- Facebook Page
Go tobusiness.facebook.com, create a new Page with your business name, category, and details. - Instagram Professional Account:
On your profile, go to Settings > Account type and tools > Switch to Professional Account, choose ‘Business’, pick a category, and add contact info.
Set Up Your Meta Business Portfolio
- Access Business Suite: Visit business.facebook.com and log in with your Facebook account, then click ‘Create a business portfolio’.
- Enter Details: Provide your business name (no special characters) and a business email (for Meta’s use).
- Confirm: Check your email for confirmation.
Connect Your Assets in Meta Business Suite
- Go to Settings: In Business Suite, find the ‘Settings’ menu (often in the bottom left or under ‘Home’).
- Add Accounts: Navigate to ‘Accounts’ and then select ‘Pages’ to add your Facebook Page and ‘Instagram Accounts’ to link your Instagram profile.
- Link Accounts: Follow prompts to connect your existing Facebook Page and Instagram account, or create new ones if needed.

Get and Secure ALL your Social & Local Profiles
Even dormant accounts help with early brand visibility and AI discovery. Create them under your business name so they can be linked for structured data and authority, and so you own your brand name everywhere. Consistency is key, use the same logo, brand name, and description across all channels.
